The Washington Demons came away with a pair of victories on the volleyball court Saturday at the West Liberty Invitational. Washington dropped its first match of pool play, losing in straight sets to Cedar Rapids Kennedy 21-11 and 21-13, but the Demons bounced back to defeat Fort Madison 21-19 and 21-11.

Washington had pool play finish with straight-sets losses to Muscatine and West Liberty, but the Demons started the bracket round by again knocking off Fort Madison 25-22 and 25-18. Unfortunately, the Demons were defeated by Kennedy 25-17 and 25-20 to end their day. Washington falls to 6-15 and is back in action tonight at Mount Pleasant.
