The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls cross country teams shined Saturday at the Monticello Panther Invitational.
The No. 4 in 2A Mid-Prairie boys brought home the team title with their score of 66, edging out No. 7 in 2A Denver-Tripoli’s 75. A trio of Hawks went top 10, led by Emmett Swartzentruber finishing runner-up in 16:31. Jayse Yoder was sixth in 16:58 and Preston Yutzy seventh in 17:02. Other Golden Hawk runners included Max Swartzentruber 21st, Daniel Rodgers 36th, Jesse Stultz 49th and Jacob Donaldson 58th.
The top ranked in 2A Golden Hawk girls finished as team runners-up with a score of 94. No. 3 in 2A Monticello won their home meet with 74. Top finish for the Hawks came from Abby Fleming in eighth at 20:20. Other Golden Hawks included Brooklyn Stutzman 16th, Phoebe Shetler 18th, Annika Poll 30th, Dessa Poll 37th, Greta Sieren 40th and Kendal Landstrum 41st.
The Hawks are off until the 19th when they travel to Mount Pleasant.
