Several services are scheduled Monday through the Lone Tree American Legion in recognition of Memorial Day.

The Color Guard will be present at five different sites beginning with Swank Cemetery in Lone Tree at 7:30 a.m. From there they will be at River Junction Cemetery at 8, the Iowa River Bridge in Hills at 8:30, Nichols Cemetery at 9:15, and St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nichols at 9:45 a.m.

Following the Color Guard presentations, indoor services will be offered at the Lone Tree American Legion at 10:30 a.m.

Prior to Memorial Day, flags will be put up at these sites on Saturday, May 27 at 6:30 a.m. Flags will be taken down on Monday at 4 p.m. Volunteers to help with either are appreciated.
