The Washington County Mini Bus service held a ribbon cutting and open house event for their newly opened office on 1010 W Fifth Street. Greiner Buildings was the contractor for the new facility that was constructed on the south side of the original building. They also added bus storage with overhead doors on the east and west sides.

The new ADA-compliant building includes an enclosed dispatch area, offices for administrative staff, a larger break room/conference area, and storage and information technology closets. Construction began in October, with staff moving into the building in May.

Mini Bus Transit Director Cris Gaughan spoke at the ribbon cutting and shared how relieved the Mini Bus staff is about the new amenities and offices that have been added to the building, bringing the once-dated building up to scratch. Gaughan also noted that the Mini Bus Office is looking for new drivers that can take over for the personnel that have recently retired.
