The No. 11 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team made quick work of a long road trip to Independence Monday, sweeping the Mustangs in straight sets on their home floor. Mid-Prairie took the match by scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-20. On the night, the Golden Hawks were led by 22 digs for Dakota Mitchell, 13 assists for Avery Helmuth, 10 kills, 12 assists and 11 digs for Landry Pacha and five blocks for Ella Groenewold at the net. Mid-Prairie has now won eight of their last nine matches, running their record to 16-6 for the year. They are back on the floor Thursday night at Regina.
