The Columbus Community football team will look to keep rolling when they host Lisbon Friday night. The Wildcats are 3-0 after a 20-point win over Wapello, with no victory by less than that margin. Averaging over 400 yards rushing per game has powered the Columbus offense. Junior Kaden Amigon leads the pack with over 400 yards on the ground and has scored four touchdowns. Senior Triston Miller has provided big plays for the rushing attack with 391 yards and five TDs.

The Wildcats have also been stout on defense, allowing just 11 points a game behind leading tacklers Miller and sophomore Riley Kaalberg. Columbus will look to avoid losing for a third straight year to the Lisbon Lions, who are 1-2. Starting quarterback Cohen Kamaus has led the Lion offense with 391 yards passing, 121 yards rushing, and seven total scores. Lisbon is also trying to bounce back from a 14-0 slugfest loss to Alburnett last week. Kickoff for the second Columbus Community home game of the season is set for 7 o’clock Friday evening.
