The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team wraps up the week with a road trip to Williamsburg Friday. The Golden Hawk baseball team is 2-1 on the young season after an 8-6 extra inning win over Fairfield Tuesday. Mid-Prairie is hitting .245 as a team early on with Collin Miller’s .571 leading the way. Brock Harland has a team best five hits and three driven in. Cain Brown has thrown a team high seven innings across two appearances with a 1-0 record and a save to go along with his 2.00 ERA. Brady Weber has worked five innings, striking out a team best 10. Mid-Prairie has a team ERA of 2.33. Williamsburg is 3-3 after starting the year dropping their first three, they have rattled off three straight victories, taking out Durant 14-6 and sweep South Tama in a doubleheader. They are hitting .309 as a team with Sam Rich at .833 and three runs scored. Madox Doehrmann has driven in a team best seven. The Raiders have a team ERA of 3.00 with Ty Becker and Trey O’Neil working a combined nine innings with a 2-0 record, 11 strikeouts and a 0.58 ERA. These schools have met five times in the last 13 seasons with Mid-Prairie winning 4 of those including a district title game walk-off winner last season 5-4 on a Collin Miller game winning hit. Action starts tonight at 7p.m. at Williamsburg High School.
