A long trip and damp conditions didn’t deter the Mid-Prairie girls golf team at Wednesday’s River Valley Conference Championship meet at Timberline Golf Course in Peosta. Mid-Prairie finished as RVC runners-up with their team score of 420. West Branch won the team league title with their 408. The Golden Hawks had five individuals earn all-conference awards led by Madi Davidson, who shot 101 to finish third individually and earn Elite All-RVC status. Claire Jarrett of West Branch was the individual RVC champion with her score of 88.
Other scores for the Golden Hawks included Gabi Robertson 10th overall with a 105, Addison English 11th with a 105, both earning All-RVC honors, Alexa Huber 18th with a 109 and Madelyn Bender 23rd with 111 to grab a pair of honorable mention spots. Elliot Debler fired a 113 for the day.
The Golden Hawks are next in action Monday when they take on Durant on the road.
