The Mid-Prairie golf teams met the Wilton Beavers in windy conditions Monday for a pair of River Valley Conference duels. The Golden Hawk girls scored the RVC win 209-218. They were led by Madi Davidson’s medalist round of 49. Alexa Huber was medalist runner-up with her 51. The two Golden Hawks joined KCII Sports after the meet to talk about their nights. Davidson said, “Four was my good hole tonight. I had par there and a really good drive. For me lately I have been working on driving and chipping. My drive has a fade so I need to work on that and my chipping needs to be better.”

Huber followed with, “I had a pretty good putt on four that actually gave me par, so that was pretty decent. My drive has decided that it doesn’t want to go properly anymore so, I’m trying to work on that and get it functioning correctly again.”

Other Mid-Prairie scores included Madelyn Bender 54, Gabi Robertson and Kylie Reinier 55s and Elliot Debler 56.

The Mid-Prairie boys dropped their matchup with Wilton at Wahkonsa 176-200. Meet medalist was Nolan Townsend for the Beavers with a 42. Top score for Mid-Prairie was Drew Schlabaugh’s 44. Other Golden Hawk rounds included Warren Scarff 49, Ian Schmidt 50, Ben Mattes 57 and Carson Pence 67.
