It has been a busy start to the week for the Columbus Community soccer teams and on Monday the Wildcats split a doubleheader with Tipton.

The Wildcat boys brought the defense in a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Tigers (1-2) with a first half goal that proved to be the difference. The Columbus girls couldn’t generate any offense in a 3-0 loss to Tipton (1-2). Alynna Leos held her own in goal with 14 saves. They turned around to face Keokuk (2-3) on Tuesday with the blue and white falling 5-3.

The boys improve to 2-1 while the girls drop to 0-6. Both squads get back at it tonight at Mediapolis.
