A perfect 3-0 week to start 2022 ended with a SEISC crossover win on Saturday for the Winfield-Mt. Union boys’ basketball team when they traveled to Fort Madison and had their way against Holy Trinity 55-34.

Defense was on full display for the Wolves the entire game, as they kept the Crusaders (2-9) to single digits in every quarter, out rebounded them 34-19, and held the home squad to 1 of 12 shooting from deep. The score was 13-8 after one, 29-17 at half, and it never got any closer in the final 16 minutes. Cam Buffington collected another double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
