One Highland football standout represented the Huskies one final time last month with Connor Grinstead competing in an all star game.

The senior put on the pads for Team Iowa in the River Battle Bowl against Team Nebraska on November 27th. The annual prep All-Star Football Game in Council Bluffs features some of the top senior prospects in the two states with Nebraska winning this year’s meeting 28-7. The dual threat quarterback ran for 908 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Huskies this fall and threw for 638 yards with 10 scores. He led the team with 64.5 tackles on the other side of the ball.

Grinstead capped off his career with a first team all district 5 selection in Class A.
