A Mount Pleasant man was arrested on theft and felony drug charges Wednesday.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received reports in late August to early September of suspicious activity in the 1900 and 2000 blocks of West Courtland Street in Mount Pleasant. On Wednesday, Henry County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of stolen tires and catalytic converters from a vehicle in the 1900 block. At approximately 6:25 p.m. a search warrant was executed in the 400 block of East Green Street in Mount Pleasant. Thirty-three year-old Salvatore Middono Jr. was later arrested and charged with ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony, drug tax stamp violation, a class D felony, keeping premise for controlled substance usage and third-degree theft, both aggravated misdemeanors, hemp inhalation, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
