The history books at Washington High School are being rewritten and Zac Stout is to blame. The senior is now the all time leading scorer in Washington boys’ soccer history after a two-goal performance on Monday that propelled the Demons to a 3-0 victory at Mount Pleasant.

It only took Stout three minutes into the game to pick up his 30th career goal to pass Mason Quigley on the all time list for a program that has been around since the mid-2000s. He tacked on one more later for good measure to make 31 overall and 26 this season, also a school record. Head Coach Sally Hart tells KCII Sports that Stout has earned everything he has accomplished. “Zac has put in a lot of work the last two years and it is showing right now. I know that he is excited to play in college next fall. Each of his goals were off of assists so it is showing that they are all working together and everyone is contributing. The teamwork is really paying off.”

Erick Ortez Jr. had the other goal for the Demons while Emmanuel Raymundo, Adin Muff, and Noah Suchan all picked up assists. Cole Anderson had three saves in goal. The orange and black were relentless offensively with 42 shots on goal.

Washington improves to 8-4 overall and they finish Southeast Conference play with a 7-3 mark. They travel to Columbus Community (7-4) tomorrow.
