A barn located southeast of Keota is considered a total loss after a fire Friday night.

Keota Fire Chief Ryan Sieren tells KCII agencies responded to a barn that was consumed in flames at about 9:35 p.m. at 1244 250th Street. The fire was contained to the unoccupied structure, and no injuries were reported. Sieren says crews were on scene for about an hour and a half, and the cause of the fire is undetermined. The Richland and Washington fire departments, Washington County Ambulance Service, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
