The Highland and Lone Tree school districts will be ending their shared superintendent arrangement.

Ken Crawford has split time as superintendent between the districts for three years. Wednesday, the Lone Tree School Board accepted his resignation effective June 30. Thursday, the Highland School Board approved a full-time position for Crawford effective July 1st and he accepted. Crawford says he looks forward to focusing his energies on one district, “With two buildings and two sites, there’s just a few more moving parts that need just a little bit more attention. I’m very excited to address those full-time.”

Crawford says he felt being at Highland full-time is the best fit for him and his family, and terms of his contract are still to be approved by the board at a later date. He says Lone Tree will begin their search for his replacement in the coming weeks.
