One win shy of a division crown was the result for the WACO volleyball team on Tuesday, as they closed the regular season falling to Van Buren on the road.

The Warriors of Van Buren took down the Warriors of WACO in straight sets with scores of 25-23, 25-15, and 25-17. Morgan Graber led the blue and white with seven kills and Molly McLaughlin had five. Aubri Garnsey dished out 15 assists, Ella Kissell managed three blocks, Kaylee Shelman hustled for 21 digs, and the team was successful on 95% of their serves with 11 aces. 

With the loss WACO finished the Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division with a 5-3 record and a tie for third in the league. They take their 23-7 overall record into the postseason where they host Sigourney (7-15) in the first round on Monday.
