Hillcrest Academy is celebrating their Homecoming this weekend and serving a hearty pork supper, but with some changes to their annual festivities. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, activities like the Joetown Classic 5K and the pork supper had to be altered to include Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines on public gatherings and social distancing. The KCII Big Red Radio will be on site broadcasting live from the carry-out celebration. This year, the pork supper will still offer food items like tender pulled pork, baked potatoes, dinner rolls, and more, but in a carry out style. No on-campus dining will be allowed. Meals will cost $10 for adults, $9 for seniors 65-years-old and older, $5 for children age 4-12, and children 3-years-old and younger eat for free. Meals can be pre-ordered until Friday and picked up on Saturday between 4:30-7:00 p.m. To pre-order and pre pay your meal, and schedule a pickup time, visit hillcrestravens.org/porksupper. The Joetown Classic 5K will be a virtual event this year with students, staff, and alumni completing the race at their own time, pace, and location. Sign ups for the race end on Thursday. Visit hillcrestravens.org/joetownclassic for more information and to sign up for the race.
