Thursday night, the Lone Tree Lady Lion volleyball team dropped their first two sets at Hillcrest Union, and trailed the Ravens 17-10 in what looked to be the third and deciding set in a dominating Hillcrest Academy sweep. From that point on, the Lions rallied to win the third set, then the fourth, and ultimately the fifth to complete the comeback and grab their first win of the year. Lone Tree did it by scores of 20-25, 13-25, 29-27, 25-21 and 16-14. In the loss, the Ravens were led by Sophie Marshall with 12 kills, Yani Gutierrez with nine assists and Grace Miller with 15 digs. With the win, the Lions improve to 1-6 on the year while the Ravens fall to 0-4.
