The next chapter of the Hillcrest Academy and Lone Tree rivalry takes place tonight on Dwight Gingerich Court at Hillcrest Union when the Ravens welcome the Lady Lions to Kalona for a Southeast Iowa Superconference match. Hillcrest comes in after an 0-3 start to the season a week ago at the Fairfield quad tournament, where they dropped matches in straight sets to Albia, Eddyville-Blakesburg and Fairfield. For the season the Ravens are led by Esther Hughes with seven kills. Norah Yoder has the team lead with eight assists. Grace Miller leads the Raven defense with 17 digs. Malia Sedlacek is 20 of 21 at the service line on the season.

Lone Tree enters play also in search of their first win with an 0-6 mark on the season. The Lady Lions were last in action over the weekend at the West Branch tournament where they were swept by Eddyville-Blakesburg, Don Bosco and Winfield-Mt. Union. On the season Lone Tree is led by Skylar Smith with 17 kills. Kayla Dautremont and Josie Mullinix both pace the Lions with 17 assists. Mullinix also leads the Lion defense with 24 digs and Chloe Mills is a team best 32 of 32 from the service line with six aces. These two teams met a season ago with the Lions sweeping the  match in straight sets. Action begins tonight at 6:30 in Kalona.
