The Lone Tree School District invites community members to a special meeting to comment on and ask questions about their return to learn plan. The district recently released a list of proposed guidelines for their return to learn plan, including the requirement of face masks for students and staff, all students being provided a computer device to support learning through all instructional models, and their proposal for which learning model to use to begin the school year. Administration recommends the school board choose the hybrid model of learning for the first two weeks of school, splitting students up into two groups and attending school on alternate days. The school board will make their final decision on August 4. Superintendent Ken Crawford believes the opinions of the community matter significantly when making these decisions. This public meeting will be held at the Lone Tree High School gymnasium today (7/29) and will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an outline of their proposed learning models. The school board and administration will then give community members an hour to ask any questions or field concerns on this plan. A live broadcast of this meeting will be available on the Lone Tree School District YouTube channel for community members to join remotely.
