keota-eagles1-300x211-300x211-8

Another masterful performance on the hill by Colten Clarahan propelled the Keota baseball team to a 1-0 pitcher’s duel win over Colfax-Mingo on Thursday night.

The only run of the game came in the second inning and that was all the help the sophomore needed. He tossed a complete game shutout in 91 pitches giving up just three hits, no walks, and striking out 12 batters. Clarahan has posted a minuscule 0.85 ERA in 25 innings of work in 2020 and his two hits led the offense in the SICL matchup. Keota improves to 4-5 after the victory.

The softball team lost 16-1 to the Tigerhawks to drop to 0-9. Both teams return to action Monday at Montezuma.
