The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks and Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves competed in the annual Coe Jazz Summit, promoted as Iowa’s largest jazz festival. The Wolves performed in Class 1A.  The Mid-Prairie band was able to bring home a third-place finish among 2A schools. Two Golden Hawks were picked as honorable mention musicians: trombone player Cooper Thomas on trombone and Tristan Novy on alto saxophone.
