In a makeup River Valley Conference doubleheader Thursday in Wellman, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks met the Camanche Indians. The Golden Hawk girls snapped a four game skid with a 51-29 victory. Mid-Prairie rolled out of the gate on a 13-2 run that spanned the entire first quarter. They outscored the Indians 13-4 in the second quarter to take a 26-6 lead into the half. the second half was more of the same as the Hawks put the game to bed in the third. Colby Rourke led Mid-Prairie with 12 points, Maddie Nonnenmann added 10. With the win, the Golden Hawks are now 5-10.

In the boys contest the No. 2 ranked Indians ran away with a 70-33 win. Camanche won each quarter on the night, up 24-13 after one quarter and 39-21 at the half. The Hawks couldn’t get back into the game with Camanche outscoring Mid-Prairie 22-9 in the third to put the game away. Ethan Trimpe led Mid-Prairie with 12. The Golden Hawks are 3-11 on the season.
