The Mid-Prairie boys and girls basketball teams prepare for their longest road trip of the year Friday when they travel to Bellevue to meet the Comets. The Golden Hawk girls are 5-10 on the year after a 51-29 victory over Camanche on Thursday led by Colby Rourke’s 12 points. On the season the Hawks are led by 11 points per game by Maddie Nonnenmann, she is also the team leader with 80 total rebounds. Amara Jones leads the Golden hawk guard court with 58 steals and 49 assists.

Bellevue has an overall mark of 9-8. The Comets lost at Cascade 59-26 last time out. On the year, Bellevue is led by Lindsey Banowetz at 17 points per game. She also has a team best 21 assists and 102 rebounds. These two teams met a year ago with Bellevue winning 65-40 in Wellman.

The Mid-Prairie boys are 3-11 on the season after a 70-33 loss to Camanche on Thursday. Ethan Trimpe led the way with 12 points. On the season the Hawks are led by Carter Harmsen at 12 points per game. Brad Tornow leads Mid-Prairie with 59 assists and Aidan Rath is best on the glass with 84 boards.

Bellevue is 5-11 this season. They were beaten at Cascade on Tuesday 62-40. The Comets are led by Colby Sieverding at 11 points per game. Paxton Felderman has a team best 47 assists and Isaac Carter has 89 rebounds to lead the way. These two teams met a year ago with the Hawks winning a thriller in Wellman 56-54 on a Dominick Pickard tip in at the buzzer. Action begins tonight at 6p.m. at Bellevue High School.
