It’s another pivotal Southeast Conference matchup tonight for the Washington basketball teams, as they face off with Burlington for the second time this season.
The girls will make the road trip to Burlington and seek the season sweep after winning 46-38 in the first meeting back on December 13th. The Demons have won four of five games and are 9-5 overall including 3-2 in the conference. Burlington is 2-9 and 1-4 in the league with Alexis Standard’s 7.6 points a night leading the team.
The Demon boys will look to keep pace with Keokuk atop of the SEC, as they are 10-4 overall and 6-1 in conference. Burlington needs a win to keep their slight title hopes alive, as they are 5-6, but 3-2 in the league. Michael Alexander is a playmaker with 12.5 points a game. The Demons welcome the Greyhounds to town tonight and back in December they escaped with a 58-55 road victory.
Both games will get started around 7:45 p.m. tonight. Listen to the girls’ road trip on FM 106.1 KCII.
