The Highland basketball teams resume play tomorrow night, as they start up 2020 taking a dip out of conference to face South Iowa Cedar League foe English Valleys.

The Huskie boys are in the mix for a conference title, as they sit at 7-1 including winning their last four games of 2019. Three players average double figures led by Zack Lasek with 16.5 points and 10 rebounds a night. The Bears look to get above .500 with a 4-4 record and Kaden Hall carries the bulk offensively with 15.8 points a game.

The Highland girls got some momentum before break with a 68-32 victory over Columbus to improve to 2-9. That game was a much-needed boost offensively, as three players reached double figures led by Alyssa Brase with 17. English Valleys is off to a solid 7-2 start and they have done it with their defense by holding opponents to 33 points a contest.

All of the action begins tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in Riverside.
