Just after 5:30p.m. Thursday, local authorities responded to a report of smoke at a home on Washington Boulevard between South Avenue C and South Avenue D. The caller had seen what turned out to be steam coming from the home. Traffic was blocked for around a half hour. Reporting to the scene were Washington Fire and Washington Police.
