Residents in the city of Kalona have the opportunity to do cleaning before the winter season. Kalona is holding their annual fall cleanup event on Friday, November 1st from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday, November 2nd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no charge for the service. Those taking part must be a Kalona resident. Items must be delivered to 711 A Avenue during that time. Items that will not be accepted include yard waste, tires, computer monitors and televisions, appliances, oil or lead acid batteries.
