The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team traveled to West Liberty and Durant last week for the River Valley Conference tournament. The Golden Hawks fell in all four matches. Mid-Prairie was beaten by West Liberty in straight sets 21-7 and 21-15, Anamosa in three sets 21-14, 17-21 and 15-11, Bellevue in three sets 21-19, 10-21 and 15-9 and swept by Regina 21-14 and 21-15. In the tournament, Mid-Prairie was led by Tori Boyse with 21 kills. Landry Pacha had a team best 27 assists and Amber Swart led the Mid-Prairie defense with 32 digs. At the end of the regular season, Mid-Prairie is now 6-21 as they get ready to open up the playoffs this week against West Liberty.
