lone-tree-3

District 4 in 8-man has been put on notice. Lone Tree is causing havoc and not backing down. For the second straight week the Lion football team upset previously undefeated opponents, this time edging Montezuma in a basketball score of 69-63.

Harmon Miller was a beast on the ground with 310 rushing yards on 26 carries and six touchdowns. Alex Viner recorded 151 rushing yards on two scores and both of his receptions reached the end zone as well. Cale Yoder was a steady force defensively with 13 tackles. Head Coach Aaron Bohr had high praise for his offensive line on Friday night. “Our o-line was terrific. Cale Yoder, Tyler Bell, Tim Mills, Chris Reichert, Trey Shalla, Keegan Edwards, Will Hotz and so many others all did a great job in opening up holes. We made some adjustments last week in the New London game and I have been so impressed in how our guys have picked up on it.”

The win makes it two in a row for Lone Tree, as they improve to 2-3 overall. They get back at it Friday hosting Winfield-Mt. Union.
