One man has died following a single-vehicle wreck in Henry County.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, just before 5 p.m. Saturday they received a call reporting the wreck in the 3000 grid of Franklin Avenue near Salem. The driver of the vehicle was 60-year-old Otis Henkle Jr. of Mt. Pleasant. He had struck a tree and a grain bin. He was the only person in the vehicle.

Henkle Jr. was transported by ambulance to the Henry County Health Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, and Trenton first responders assisted at the scene.
