A wood sculpture has been giving Washington County Fair patrons an inside look on how a chunk of wood can be turned into a piece of art.

Jeff Klatt made the trip from Storm Lake, Iowa to give chainsaw art demonstrations. For an hour at a time, Klatt has used his nine chainsaws to craft wood blocks into owls, eagles, pigs, and other sculptures. Klatt told KCII News that the best part of his time in Washington was getting to meet different people at the fair. Klatt began his string of demonstrations Sunday and finished his owl carving Wednesday.
