Chalk up another walk-off win for the Sigourney baseball team on Wednesday night when they downed Belle Plaine 6-5.

The Savages jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second when the Plainsmen scored five unanswered. Sigourney tied it in the fifth and managed the walk-off in the seventh. Cade Streigle went 3-for-4 with one RBI and Payton Schauf had two hits including a home run. Mac Conrad was the winning pitcher in 1 1/3 innings of one hit ball.

A nine run second inning doomed the softball team, as the Savages were on the wrong end of a 12-7 affair. Jordan VanEe went the distance in the circle giving up nine runs on nine hits. Madelynn Hornback had two hits, two runs, and two RBI to lead the offense.

The baseball team improves to 11-5 and softball drops to 15-12.
