A pair of KCII area softball teams meet Thursday in Kalona when the Columbus Wildcats visit Iowa Mennonite. The IMS softball team enters play with an overall record of 2-19. Last game they were beaten Tuesday by Winfield-Mt. Union on the road 4-1. For the season, IMS is hitting .211 as a team, led by Rubye Ney and her .370 average. In the circle IMS has a team ERA of 8.53, led by Leah Bontrager and eight even in 102 innings of work and a 2-18 overall record.

Columbus comes into play with a mark of 4-16 on the season. Last time on the diamond the Wildcats beat IMS on Saturday in the IMS classic 8-2. For the year the Wildcats are hitting .298 as a team, led by Grace Conwell and her .408 average. In the circle Columbus has a team ERA of 7.82 with Emma Milder holding a 3-3 overall record in 40 innings with an 8.58 ERA. These two teams have already met twice this season with the Wildcats winning both by 7-6 and 8-2 scores.
