It took some late game heroics but the Mid-Prairie baseball team captured their 10th win of the season Monday with a 6-5 decision over Bellevue in Cedar Rapids on the campus of Mount Mercy. Mid-Prairie scored twice in the third to break the scoreless tie and Comets responded with one in the fourth. Mid-Prairie then posted two in the fifth and one more in the sixth to go up 5-1 going to the seventh. Bellevue rallied in their final at bat to score four times and tie the game but in the bottom half, Mid-Prairie scratched out a run for the walk off win. Cale Robertson was two for three for the Hawks at the plate with two RBI, a run scored, and three stolen bases. Brad Tornow got the win, going all seven innings, allowing six hits, five runs, walking one and striking out 10. Mid-Prairie is now 10-7 on the year.
