Southeast Iowa will be represented at the Drake Relays next week, as the qualifier list was announced yesterday.

Highland’s Emily Yahnke will be competing in the long jump after leaping 17’2.5” to rank 21st best. Sigourney’s Summer Barthelman will be competing in a pair of events including having the sixth fastest time in the 400m (58.57) and sixth in the 400m hurdles (1:06.18). Payton Schauf will also represent the Savages in the discus with a heave of 153’8” that ranks 23rd. On the boys’ side Winfield-Mt Union had their 4x100m relay team qualify with a season’s best time of 45.34 seconds that is 89th best.
