The Winfield-Mt. Union girls’ track team hosted a meet last night along with area schools WACO and Columbus Community.

The Wolves finished sixth out of eight teams with 57 points, WACO was seventh with 32, and Columbus was eighth with 7. WMU’s Kyndal Townsley was the fastest in the 100m hurdles (17.40) and Jobey Malone was also first in the shot put (35’3.5’’). Isabella Mertens seized second place in the 3000m run (13:08.31) and Anna Hudson was second in the shot (34’4.5’’). WACO’s shuttle hurdle relay team of Laney Graber, Taylor Sammons, Grace Conwell, and Molly McLaughlin nabbed first in a time of 1:15.87. They also had fourth place finishes from McLaughlin in the 100m hurdles (17.87), Morgan Graber in high jump (4’6’’), Grace Conwell in the long jump (13’10.5’’), and the 4x200m relay team (2:01.63). The Wildcats’ Angie Byas was third in the long jump (14’3.5’’) and seventh in the 200m (29.80).
