A new ambulance contract for Washington County will be sought this spring. The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved at their meeting this week to use East Central Iowa Council of Governments, or ECICOG, to help prepare the request for proposal. The agreement with ECICOG is to not exceed $1,500 in preparing the RFP. The current contract expires at the end of the fiscal year, June 30th, and a new one will be negotiated. Washington County Supervisor and Ambulance Director Richard Young abstained from voting on the measure.
