The City of Kalona has selected a contractor for a six-figure project on C Avenue. At the recent city council meeting, a $155,189.50 bid from All American Concrete was accepted by the council. The project will replace the sidewalks and improve underground infrastructure on C Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets, and will make the Kalona Public Library entrance ADA compliant. City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh said he hopes to begin construction in March and estimates the project will take 60 days to complete.
