The Washington Community School District has announced a plan to make up school days recently canceled due to inclement weather. Superintendent Willie Stone says class will be in session February 15th, February 18th, and April 22nd. February 15th was originally scheduled for a professional learning day for teachers with multiple surrounding districts. February 18th had been a planned vacation day for students for President’s Day. And April 22nd was a scheduled snow makeup day. Stone states the district is working through the possibility of using spring break for makeup days but nothing has been made certain yet. Washington School District has missed nine school days in the last three weeks due to bad weather.
