Recent precipitation along with temperatures below freezing  can making driving more difficult. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorious says his team has been working hard to clear the roads as best as they can but that there are still many slick spots. Thorious adds that if you are out and about to be aware that gravel roads are still slick. Another hazard to be aware of are the tall piles of snow around intersections and driveways that could impact visibility. Thorious recommends taking caution around these areas and to know what’s out there before pulling out into traffic.
