A Washington teen was arrested after a serious traffic stop near Crawfordsville. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 3:14 p.m. Friday authorities stopped a vehicle at Highway 218 and 320th Street. The driver was 18-year-old Aaron Lucas Williams. The Iowa State Patrol arrested Williams for driving under suspension, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also had a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for a plea hearing on the original charges of criminal mischief, eluding, operating while intoxicated, interference with a corrections official, and operating a vehicle without owner’s consent. Those charges stem from an incident that happened near Brighton on February 21st, 2018. He is also wanted out of Jefferson County for failure appear. Williams was taken to the Washington County Jail.
