Wrestlers from around the area found their names on the most recent rankings on IAwrestle.com.

The site had not released rankings since Nov. 20 when they put out their preseason rankings, but the first rankings of the regular season saw a few area wrestlers featured. In Class 1A, Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye was ranked third in the 113 weight class after starting the season at fourth. Highland’s Brady Hahn also moved onto the rankings in the 145 as well after a very successful last couple of weeks, listed at tenth.

Two area wrestlers were on the rankings in Class 2A as well. Washington’s Tristin Westphal-Edwards moved up to the third spot after starting the year ranked fourth in the 182 weight class. Columbus/Winfield-Mount Union’s Jarod Kadel comes in ranked third in the 138, which is unchanged from the preseason rankings.
