The Washington basketball teams are back in action for their first conference doubleheader of the year, hitting the road to take on Fairfield.
The girls’ team comes in at 3-1 after picking up two straight wins, both at home, and both without their senior point guard Isabel Bailey. Bailey is hopeful to return tonight after missing the last two games and three quarters with a concussion. They may need her tonight, as they’ll be facing off against a Fairfield team who swept them by a combined 30 points last season and is ranked 11th in Class 4A coming into the night.
The boys are coming off a win against Muscatine on Friday night, in which three different Demons were in double-figures. They’ll be looking for a bit of redemption against a team that swept them a season ago as well.
Tonight’s action can be found on FM 106.1 starting with the Washington HyVee Pregame Show at 5:45. Tipoff for the girls game is set for 6:15 with the boys to follow.
