A car hit a buggy near Kalona Saturday afternoon. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 2:24 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 1 and 560th Street north of Kalona the collision occurred. According to officials, the driver was injured and the horse was killed. Names and conditions of those involved were not released. Kalona QRS, Kalona Fire Department, and Washington County Sheriff’s personnel assisted Johnson County authorities at the scene.
