The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team is back on the court tonight when they welcome West Liberty to Tim Grady Gymnasium.
The Hawks are 6-8 on the year after falling to West Branch in a sweep on Tuesday. On the year Mid-Prairie is led by Myah Lugar with 63 kills. Caitlyn Riggan paces the Hawks with 155 assists, eighth most in the River Valley Conference. Cassidy Hershberger leads the Golden Hawk defense with 131 digs.
West Liberty enters the match with an overall record of 17-3. In their last action, the Comets took the title at the Mid-Prairie tournament Saturday, including a sweep of the Golden Hawks. They are ranked 10th in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. For the year West Liberty is led by Macy Daufeldt with 195 kills, fourth most in the RVC. Morgan Peterson leads the Comets and the RVC with 466 assists. Macy Akers leads the Comet defense and the conference with 308 digs.
Action begins at 7:30 tonight at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
