The Sigourney-Keota football team saw their first road test of the year on Friday night.  You could say they passed that test with flying colors, beating fifth-ranked Lynnville-Sully 44-18.

The Cobras had class 1A’s second-leading rusher from a season ago in Carson Crawford back after not playing week one.  He was definitely a difference-maker, carrying the ball 27 times for 285 yards and two touchdowns.  He also reached the end zone three other times on two-point conversions.

JD Stout was also on top of it for the second week in a row, sporting 18 carries for 99 yards and three scores.  He also threw one pass to Peyton Schauf for 15 yards.

The Cobras will take to the field again on Friday night when they take on Albia at home.  Kickoff is set for 7:00.
