The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team fell for the first time in 2018 Thursday, dropping their River Valley Conference opener to Durant on the road in straight sets.

The Wildcats took the matchup by scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 25-9. Mid-Prairie was led on the night by Myah Lugar with three kills, Cassidy Hershberger had 11 digs to lead the Golden Hawk defense and Caitlyn Riggan had seven assists. With the loss the Hawks are now 4-1 on the year as they get ready to take on Iowa City Regina Thursday.
