Residents have one week left to submit their favorite summer photo of Washington in the Capture Washington Photo Contest.

The Washington Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Running Robots has organized the contest to gather some of the best photos of the Washington area to use in revamping the city’s digital marketing efforts. President and founder of Running Robots Adam Engel explains the photography contest, “Capture Washington is really a photo contest that helps us gather and let’s really the community get involved in the information gathering stage that we’re in. So right now we’re taking drones out and we’ve got a couple photographers that are on site. But really we can only capture a piece of Washington, and you know, we want to really include the community in this and really have their feedback, and their pictures, and their experiences captured. So, our goal here is to really reach out to the photographers in Washington, or anyone with a smartphone, or anyone with a really good image that portrays the area.”

There will be first, second, and third place prizes awarded for each season with $250 in Chamber Bucks awarded to first place, $100 in Chamber Bucks to second place, and $50 in Chamber Bucks to third. The summer deadline is August 31st. For a link to submit photos click here.
